  • Spring Steam Days at the Roundhouse - Mar 19 - Apr 18, 2010 - Enjoy a ride on our passenger car powered by our steam engine and learn more about an important piece of Savannah’s history, the Central of Georgia Railroad. Rides will be offered everyday, Tuesdays - Sundays 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and on Sundays 1 p.m., 2 p.m.
  • 186th St. Patrick's Day Parade - Mar 17, 2010 - Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with the 186th Annual Savannah St. Patrick's Day Parade! It is the second largest St. Patrick's Day parade in the country!
  • Tara Feis Irish Festival - Mar 13, 2010 - An outdoor, family-friendly celebration of Irish culture featuring live stage performances, music, dancing, crafts food and more. Free and open to the public, this years event features the Cathie Ryan Band.
  • The Atlanta Gay Men's Chorus Presents - Mar 20, 2010 - Broadway to jazz, powerful spirituals to beautiful classical favorites, the Atlanta Gay Men's Chorus and Macy's present "The Roads Leads Back: Georgia on Our Minds." Coming to The Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church for one special performance on March 20 at 4 p.m., the showcase of diverse and entertaining musical styles is being presented as a statewide tour of more than 100 voices of the critically acclaimed chorus.
  • Tea at Mrs. Davenport's - Mar 11-25, 2010 - Learn about tea traditions and experience an early 19th century tea in the historic atmosphere of the Isaiah Davenport House Museum. Patrons will be oriented to the history of tea and tea traditions relating to the early 19th century consumer. They will tour areas of the home where tea service took place and will participate in an afternoon tea given with costumed interpreters. Reservations recommendations. Limited attendance. Thursdays, some Fridays and one Wednesday in March.
  • 24th Annual Spring Exhibition at the Ray Ellis Gallery - Mar 25 - Apr 30, 2010 - The 24th Annual Spring Exhibition: New Paintings of the South by Ray Ellis will be held March 25-April 30. There will be an Artist Reception on Thursday, March 25 from 3-6 p.m. Ray Ellis lives and paints in Martha's Vineyard, but every spring he returns to Savannah for an exhibition of new work. The themes have varied over the years, but more often than not, he paints our area, a place he has lived and loved for many years. With this exhibition he continues the tradition, painting Savannah, Tybee, Little Tybee and the surrounding Lowcountry. The entire show will be posted by March 18, check www.rayellis.com.   • Broadway on Bull Street - Mar 11-14, 2010 - The Savannah Theatre gives its regards to Broadway as they perform show-stopping hit songs from everyones favorite musicals. The show features classic dance routines and comic re-creations of some of the most beloved moments in Broadway history. From “Oklahoma” and “West Side Story” to “Chorus Line” and “Chicago,” enjoy all of the excitement of more than 30 Broadway shows in one dazzling two-hour musical revue.

  • 3rd Thursdays at Tybee - Mar 18, 2010 - The concert is free and open to the public, presented by the City of Tybee Island.
  • The U.S. Army Strings at The Mighty Eighth - Mar 27, 2010 - Savannah Music Festival and the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum present The U.S. Army Strings in a free concert for the entire family.
  • St. Patrick's Day on River Street - Mar 17, 2010 - It's the celebrating of the green on Historic River Street! Come get your green on during this nationally recognized festival.
  • Artful Table Presentation and Luncheon - Mar 12, 2010 - Two internationally-known silver experts, Beth Carver Wees and Ellenor Alcorn, will lecture on social and historical aspects of the precious metal at the Savannah Theatre. The Artful Table guests will relocate to the Telfair for a seated luncheon amidst flowers, fine art and dazzling table vignettes and silver displays. The speakers at the luncheon will present a hands-on silver demonstration.
  • Jazz Just Across the River - One Sound, Many Thrills - Mar 14, 2010 - One Sound was formed in 2008 by musicians and long time friends Thomas Stokes III (bass), RaSheed Akbar (Saxophone), Jermaine Baker (drums), Anthony Jones (keys) and James Smith (lead guitar). One Sound is a blend of diverse musical genres that includes contemporary jazz, classic R&B, funk, gospel and progressive “sweet” soul music. Together, all of these influences create a contemporary take on original tunes and allows them to expand their versatility for a fresh, new look at old jazz standards. Listening to One Sound you can hear the influence of such great artists as Wayman Tisdale, Grover Washington Jr., Fourplay, Herbie Hancock, Earl Klugh, Fred Hammond and Marcus Miller. Individually, the members of One Sound have performed for several years with many diverse artists, including local trombone legend Teddy Adams, Mary Davis, Timothy Wright and Gerald Thompson, performances in such places as Georgia, New Orleans, West Africa and even Egypt.
  • Tybee Island Irish Heritage Celebration Parade - Mar 13, 2010 - Tybee Island is turning green for the Tybee Island Irish Heritage Celebration Parade! The parade will be held on Saturday, March 13 at 3 p.m. This year’s parade will begin at Memorial Park and head south down Butler Avenue turning east onto Tybrisa Street (16th Street) and end at the Tybee Pier. The parade includes floats, marchers and bands. Families are encouraged to participate and watch this year’s celebration!
  • St. Patrick's Day in City Market - Mar 17, 2010 - Join us as we celebrate all things Irish in City Market! The event is free and open to the public.
